Christmas Dessert Charcuterie Board

Christmas Charcutrie Board copy.jpg

Christmas is just a few days away and I am getting very excited for the magical day of the year. Whether you are hosting a small get together to celebrate the holidays with family or planning on staying home, this Christmas dessert themed charcuterie board makes a great centerpiece to snack around. Ditch the traditional meat and cheese charcuterie board and get right to the good stuff with this hot cocoa inspired dessert version.

How to Make a Halloween Charcuterie Board

There are no rules when it comes to this process and creativity is encouraged. However, I do have a few tips for making the ultimate charcuterie style Christmas themed sweet snack board. If you are more of a visual learner, be sure to check out my step-by-step video showing you exactly how I created this Christmas charcuterie board here.

Start by placing any larger items or decor you want to incorporate into your design. For my Christmas Dessert charcuterie board, I included a small bowl to hold some festive trail mix that acted as my largest item on the board. Other large items included hand made Christmas sugar cookies. I also used these super cute little bowls to hold other snack items around the main serving platter.

If you love the effortless look of the different foods on the charcuterie board coming together, place the more solid foods next such as the chocolate covered pretzels, stroopwafel pieces. Spread these items on either side of the board to create balance. Lastly, layer in the lighter items that are more likely to move around such as m&m’s and mini marshmallows.

As I mentioned earlier, there are no rules for creating a dessert charcuterie board and the process should be fun. Don’t be afraid to play, move things around, and rearrange until you like the way it looks and everything seems to come together. One key element to creating a charcuterie board of any kind is to have it look abundant like there is enough for everyone. That being said, let the foods pile up filling the real estate of the board and possibly even overlapping each other to give the board a full and lavish look.
