If you have been following us for a little while, then you know how much we love staying at Graduate Hotels! Not only are they charming and staffed with friendly faces but they also go above and beyond to make sure their furry guests are comfortable as well! 

Upon arrival at the Graduate Richmond , the valet helped us with our bags and the front desk welcomed us during check in. We headed to our room to fall out for a few hours after a long drive. Leo knows not to jump on our bed without being invited at home, but he also knows that those rules don’t apply when on vacation, so we immediately hopped on the big comfy bed. 

In the room, we were welcomed by a Bark Box for Leo and some Graduate swag for us. I had just mentioned to Nick that I wish I packed another comfy shirt so receiving this T-shirt was perfect and very much appreciated! Leo didn’t waste any time and started playing with one of his new toys right away.

After a little while we headed back down to the main floor, grabbed a drink from the bar and checked out the game room. Nick and I love games and dream of having our own game room someday, so this was a ton of fun for us!

After I let Nick beat me in shuffleboard ;), we headed back up to the room to freshen up for dinner. We felt honored to be invited to the rooftop party to celebrate the first day of the season that the Bryd House bar was open! The rooftop has a great view of the city and a pool that would be awesome to use on warmer days. After we took in the atmosphere, Nick and Leo went back to the room and I ordered some food and drinks to take back down. I was so excited that the bar had one of my favorite drinks, a frosé!

The next morning, we slept in, as we believe you always should when getting away. Leo always has a ton of energy in the morning so we each took a turn taking him outside as we got around for the day. We enjoyed breakfast in the lobby served from the Brookfield café and tried to snap some photos before it got too busy. The décor in the lobby is one of my favorite things about this hotel! I love the mix of different patterns on the walls paired with the modern furniture.
