NOVEMBER REFLECTION

If you are anything like Nick and I, you get in the Christmas spirit very shortly after Halloween and do not wait for Thanksgiving to pass. We LOVE the holidays and want to make them last as long as possible, so we put our Christmas décor up the first week of November. Nick and I also celebrated four years together this month. We officially started dating on November 14th, 2015. I am so grateful to have met my partner in crime and to have made so many memories since then. Overall this month has been full of love and reminders to count my blessings and trust God. My heart is full.

Where I went

To my parent’s and in-law’s homes. We are lucky to live about an hour give or take from both of our parents and had a great time visiting them for Thanksgiving.

What I bought

Sherpa Coat – I love the look and feel of a normal teddy coat but feel like it wouldn’t quite be warm enough, so I love how this one is longer to keep my legs warm as well.

Over The Knee Boots – So excited to wear these with skirts and sweater dresses this winter.

Canon EOS M6– I got this camera to create vlog style videos, keep reading for more info.

 Where I ate

Jim Brady’s – this is a new restaurant on Main Street downtown Ann Arbor. Nick and I went here for our anniversary dinner and split a burger and mac-n-cheese.

At home with HelloFresh – we had 6 HelloFresh meals to make this month which were convenient especially since the evenings feel so much shorter this time of year.

What I watched

Disney Movies – we got Disney+ this month and have been loving the nostalgic of our favorite Childhood movies.

Survivor –Nick and I have been keeping up with this show although I’m not nearly as into this current season.

Home Alone – a Christmas classic that used to scare me as a kid, but I know love it more each time I watch it.

Allison Anderson on YouTube– I don’t regularly watch this channel but was so inspired and entertained by a few of her recent travel vlogs!

What I listened to

Like to Know it Influencer Radio – this podcast has many inspiring interviews with bloggers/influencers that have turned their passion into a full time career.

10,000 Hours by Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber – this is such a cute and catchy song!

What I accomplished

I started a YouTube Chanel! It feels funny to call this an accomplishment since all I have posted so far is two random vlogs, but as it is with many things, starting was the hardest part. Creating my own YouTube channel is something I wanted to do as a High Schooler, but I was too scared of what my peers would think and knew my parents wouldn’t approve at the time. This desire to start my own channel has resurfaced in the past few months and I’m super excited to finally give it a shot. Not only do I want to learn new skills around video, but I mainly want to document more of my life more through video. I am posting these on YouTube because I love watching other people’s vlogs and think it would be fun to share mine with whoever wants to watch along with me, if anyone. ;p

One thing I am thankful for

In the spirit of Thanksgiving I am going to add another new category to these monthly reflections. I truly have so much to be grateful for all year round, but I am going to pick one thing each month to elaborate on. This month I am grateful for the cozy evenings we have at home. Our apartment does not always feel homey because we know it’s a temporary space, so we haven’t put a lot of money into making it look and feel a certain way. However, our Christmas decorations have really made it feel special and a place we want to spend time in.
