As the cold winter continues on here in Ann Arbor, MI all we want to do is stay inside and wait for spring. We love being home but cabin fever is real so when we were invited to a staycation at the Graduate Ann Arbor, we were absolutely thrilled! A night away at the cutest dog friendly hotel in town was just what we needed to beat the winter blues.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt so welcomed! Leo naturally attracts attention everywhere we go but when people saw a big, fluffy dog walk into a hotel he was bound to get some extra love! The friendly employees at the front desk checked us in and handed us a Bark Box for Leo! As is the generosity we recieved at check in wasn’t enough, we walked into our room to find another dog toy for Leo (this one University of Michigan themed – GO BLUE), a basket of snacks for us and several hand written notes welcoming us to the hotel.

As you can see from these photos, this hotel has the cutest style meshing together a boutique vibe with some modern elements. One of our favorite pieces in our room was this super fun bohemian rug! After we got settled in, we headed out for a walk around town. The graduate is located in walking distance to downtown Ann Arbor and the U of M campus. Leo loves to go on any kind of walk but downtown is his favorite spot because there’s lots of smells and new faces to meet! 😉

After our walk Leo enjoyed dinner in the room with the provided bowl and tray from the hotel. My fiancé Nick and I enjoyed dinner from the Allen Rumsey Cocktail Lounge located in the hotel and some delicious chocolate truffles for dessert in the room. We all slept like babies after a fun filled day and enjoyed breakfast at the Poindexter Coffee shop which is also conveniently located in the hotel.

We can’t thank the Graduate Ann Arbor hotel enough for inviting us to experience this awesome staycation! The Graduate has many pet friendly hotels located across the U.S. on awesome college campuses. If you and your furry friend are looking for a staycation or getaway, we couldn’t recommend staying at a Graduate hotel more!
